PERSISTENT PRAYER: SHOULD A CHRISTIAN PRAY PERSISTENTLY TILL GOD ANSWERS HIS/HER PRAYER?

PERSISTENT PRAYER: SHOULD  A CHRISTIAN PRAY PERSISTENTLY TILL GOD ANSWERS HIS/HER PRAYER?

There are times when we pray and it seems the answer is not coming then we jump into the conclusion that God does not answer  prayer. This is not true. God hears the prayers of all believers.  Sometimes he does jumps into action as soon as we pray other times he seems to watch us to see how much we need that which we ask of him before he jumps into action for us. It could as well be because he is preparing for us a bigger and better package. God alone knows why answers to our prayers are sometimes delayed. We must never be harsh towards God by saying all manners of negatives things about him. God answers prayer. Our God is not deaf. He hears all prayers rendered to him by believers.
Even Jesus Christ encouraged us to be persistent in our prayers to God till God answers us. Christ encouraged us never to stop asking till we get that which we ask of God.
You must learn to wait patiently on God while praying persistently at the same time for your prayers to be answered.
We must never give up praying because we do not get speedy answer to our prayers. We must learn to pray fervently till we get answer to our prayers. We must never give up praying even though things get worse. We must bear  it in mind that just as there are times that we get speedy answer to our prayers so also will there be times when we have to wait on God patiently for answer to our prayers.  We must also be aware of the fact that God is not our mate in age and otherwise. He is God and we can never force him to answer our prayers but rather we must come before him in an humble manner because he alone exalts the humble and pushes to nothing the proud.
We must learn to live a lifestyle of singing praises to God because sometimes what he declines to do  in prayers, he does so speedily through praise.

Bible verses on why we must be persistent in our prayers to God so that we can get answer to our prayers:

LUKE 18:1-8
Jesus also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man. A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’ He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”
The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

COLOSSIANS 4:2 "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving"

LUKE  11:5-13
Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose one of you went to your friend’s house very late at night and said to him, ‘A friend of mine has come into town to visit me. But I have nothing for him to eat. Please give me three loaves of bread.’ Your friend inside the house answers, ‘Go away! Don’t bother me! The door is already locked. My children and I are in bed. I cannot get up and give you the bread now.’ I tell you, maybe friendship is not enough to make him get up to give you the bread. But he will surely get up to give you what you need if you continue to ask. So I tell you, continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you. Yes, whoever continues to ask will receive. Whoever continues to look will find. And whoever continues to knock will have the door opened for them. Do any of you have a son? What would you do if your son asked you for a fish? Would any father give him a snake? Or, if he asked for an egg, would you give him a scorpion? Of course not! Even you who are bad know how to give good things to your children. So surely your heavenly Father knows how to give the Holy Spirit to the people who ask him.”
PSALM 27:14
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord".
